About Me

Hello, my name is Lisa.

I am a fully accredited member of The UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) working in Private practive in North and East London.

I hold a postgraduate diploma in integrative and transpersonal psychotherapy and counselling.

Most therapists had careers prior to becoming a psychotherapist and I’m no exception. My first career as a hairstylist started at Trevor Sorbie in Covent Garden. For many years I worked on fashion shows and photo shoots. I loved the creativity of the work and the incredible talent of the people I worked with.

Despite a successful career, in my 20’s I began to be aware that I was not happy. This is when my own journey with therapy began. Wanting to make big changes in my life I moved abroad, first to Spain for eight years, then to South America for a further two.

It was after returning to London that I started working with an integrative transpersonal therapist (Lucas Teague) who showed me that I could connect with myself and my life in a more honest and mindful way. This was my introduction to bodywork, which I’ve detailed more about in my specialisms page.

I know how difficult it can be to face oneself, to face the unresolved and unhappy parts of ourselves; but through my training as a therapist, and my experience of sitting “in the other chair”, I also know that by learning new ways to communicate and understand ourselves, we have the capacity to transform and change.
